The Wyoming College Access Grant is a need based grant given to Wyoming residents attending college for the first time. This grant is “need-based” which means students that receive the grant must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant at their institution in the fall of 2014. Priority will be given to graduating high school students attending college for the first time, but others may be eligible. This grant award is provided through the Wyoming College Access Challenge Grant, which is administered by the Office of Student Educational Opportunity at the University of Wyoming. It will provide a $1,000 award to approximately 600 students across the state. These students will be able to apply the $1,000 award to the costs of attending college in the 2014-15 school year.
Recipients will be sent an award letter via U.S. mail at the address listed on the FAFSA beginning in May. Do not discard the award letter! You will need the grant award number listed in the letter to accept your grant. If you have any questions about how to accept your $1,000 grant award, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 307-766-6725.
